Eighth Generation is an art and lifestyle brand based in Seattle and owned by the Snoqualmie Tribe. In addition to selling Native art and a variety of products featuring designs from Native artists, they manufacture beautiful knit textiles in Seattle, Washington.
I became aware of the Gold Label Knits through working with 8th Generation on a contract sewing project and was in awe of the quality of the fabric they produce in-house. Through my sewing work with 8th GEN, I was able to experiment with some of the remnants and seconds quality textiles that get produced during the manufacturing process. I was determined to turn these materials into a product in which would highlight the quality of the knits so they could be used and loved.
Big thanks to the Eighth Generation team and their artists! Because of their drive to make sustainable products the Upcycled Knit Headwear (is currently sold out) but check out their website HERE.
